KAYAKING

Situated on the Argyll Sea Kayak Trail, Toward Seasports Club (SCIO) is only a short crossing to Rothesay and the Isle of Bute. There is also easy access to Loch Striven, Colintraive and the Kyles of Bute.

The clubhouse is situated adjacent to a broad open bay with slipways for easy access to the sea. The clubhouse offers changing rooms with toilets, showers and hot water, as well as a fully equipped kitchen and common meeting area. 

​

The club offer a full range of SCA accredited Sea Kayak training both in pool, on water, and in class, including:

​

  • Adult beginner paddlers.

  • Adult intermediates and advanced paddlers.

  • Introduction to paddle sports for young people aged 14 and above.

​​

In addition, we offer first aid training, navigation training and safety training.

​

For newcomers we have a small selection of club sea kayaks for hire and are happy to offer advice on kit and equipment,

​

Kayakers meet on a Friday evening for informal training.
